I Heart My Son In Law

OK, I've been depressing myself lately.  Today is good news.

This is my son in law. He graduates next month with his bachelors in nursing.  We are going to Lexington, Kentucky for his graduation. He has worked full time for the last three years and gone to school.  I'm so proud of him, and best of all

he's crazy about my daughter!

I've been to Lexington before, and I love it.....

The University of Kentucky campus is beautiful, and last time I actually met Col Sanders.  (Just kidding, of course, the real Col. Sanders is RIP)

And I'll get to spend time with Lucy (left) and Homer (right).  They are my daughter and son in law's two Boston Terriers, and I have so much fun with them.

This is Homer when they first brought him home 8 years ago. Awwww....

Have a restful week end everyone.

Thank God life has fine things in it like dogs and hard-working sons-in-law, and trips, and daughters who are loved. It strikes a balance.

Yes, it seems as though there has been a heaviness around everyone lately, so this was much needed. How proud you must be of him for working so hard and taking care of your daughter. The dogs are so cute too. Thanks for the light:)

Thank you for sharing your love of your son in law. How nice. What a nice man.

But perhaps you could do a nice tribute, complete with yellow roses, to the Colonel?

I love how you think! But the respectful thing to do is to let the family make a death announcement.

I agree about showing respect. Such pompous actions are sad and self-serving.

Congratulations to SIL.

I was doing fine until I got to that last picture..... so darn cute!

The "awwwwwww" factor kicked in.... I called my DH over to the screen to look at it and he started looking around him and said thoughtfully, "You think we're ready for another one??" (we have five!)

That'll teach me!

But seriously, congrats to the SIL!! Wishing you a happy weekend!

I love happy posts :) You should be very proud. And the fact that he adores your daughter and she is taken care of?!?! What more could a mom ask for? Really? I always pray my girls end up with someone who will love them fiercely. Ahhh and I didn't know you had granddogs? :)

Homer is adorable. I like Lexington a lot, too. We attend the Georgia/Kentucky game there when we can. Great town. I could live there.
